Despite widespread national and Tribal opposition, Alaska Senator Dan Sullivan has inserted an amendment in the National Defense Authorization Act to force the approval of the Ambler Road Access Project, a 200-mile private industrial mining road that crosses public lands.
The proposed road would slice through Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve, harm one of the nation’s greatest caribou herds, and permanently affect sixty-six Alaska Native communities — risking the lives of vulnerable community members, community food security, and cultural continuity for future generations.
We need you to act now and oppose this destructive project.
Tell Congress to protect Alaska communities and wildlife: Say NO to Ambler Mining Road!
